Characters
Alih – A Moro who moved along the crowd which was celebrating the 4th of July celebration.
Omar – The older brother of Alih, the man that plans to kill all people in the town
Imam – The village priest who tried to dissuade the two brothers, he explains to them that the prophets did not teach to do it
Lucy – she is the first girl alih like
Fermina – a beautiful bar maid with a mole near her mouth, Alih likes her so much.
Settings:
The story happened on July 4th in a city with a parade of people.
Plot
Exposition: Alih did not want to kill but the fear he had for his brother while he was growing urged him to the killings and his brother taught him that killing will be their way to wash away their shame and gain respect for their father.
Rising Action: he saw a float with a girl whom he thought of as Fermina. He move closer to the float and he assisted the girl and he recognize that she is fermina.
Climax: he was about to hold fermina but his brother omar came he was drunk all along. Alih knows that omar is drinking tuba, and he was about to kill fermina.
Falling Action: Alih kill his brother to gain the white horse for him to protect fermina
Resolution: After the incident many speculation that happened but still they didn’t know why alih kill his brother. But the thing is alih didn’t want the white horse anymore

The story is about the traditional, beliefs and faith of Filipinos

Literary approach used:

• Historical Approach
• Mimetic Approach
• Freudian Approach

Analysis:
Alih did not want to kill but his brother taught him that killing can wash their shame away and gain respect for his father. If omar didn't teach that maybe alih will not kill people. It is about on what ever we have  learned when we were young, we can carry it in adulthood. It will be our beliefs in life.
