The White Horse of Alih (Analysis)
Character:
* Alih, a Moro/Non-Christian
* Omar, older brother of Alih
* Imam, the village priest
* Lucy, the little girl who lived in the reservation area where the Americans lived; Childhood crush of Alih
* Fermina, a beautiful bar maid with a mole near her mouth
* Lim Ching, the rich Chinese merchant
Setting:
The story was happened on July 4th in a town parade.
Plot:
Exposition: When Alih thinks if he will continue to kill
Rising Action: When he saw a float with a girl whom he thought of as Fermina.
Climax: Alih was about to hold Fermina, his brother Omar came but to his surprise, he was drunk all along, Omar was about to kill the girl he likes.
Falling Action: Alih kills his brother because Alih protects Fermina from his brother.
Resolution: After the incident, Alih is arrested but he remain ambigous

Analysis:
The story tells about Alih and his brother Omar, as they try to redeem themselves from the shame of being robbed of their possesions. It was during the Fourth of July at the town parade. Before the actual plan was carried off, Alih reminisces about Lucy, Fermina and about the girl from Balete. As he came back to reality, he sees a girl at the top of the float. As the float came closer, he start to compare if that girl is Fermina. Suddenly, he's drunk brother came at the plaza and intends to kill anyone who's on his way. Omar comes closer to the parade girl, Alih ruins in a flash to save her. In the end, Alih kills Omar and he's arrested by authorities.
