The White Horse of Alih (Analysis)

SETTING: The setting of the story was happened in the parade of people in the american holiday in the city on the 4th of july.
CHARACTERS:
ALIH- A Moro - a non christian who plans to kill the people in the parade of the city.
OMAR-Older brother of Alih who always dictates of what he are going to do.
FERMINA- A Christan girl who served drinks at the market.A beautiful lady with a mole near on her mouth.
LUCY-The first love of Alih and she also his childhood.
SAMPANG- A mountain warrior.
LIM-CHING-The Chinese rich merchants.
IMAM-The village priest.
PLOT:
1.CONFLICT-Alih have to kill people even if he dont like to redeem their shame.Because he was affraid to omar his brother to gain respect when their father killed with out any reason.
2.COMPLICATIONS-When they decide to become a merchants and the rebels with guns and stole every thing they had.
3.RISING ACTIONS-When he saw a beautiful girl that look alike of Fermina and Alih was confirmed that it is her because of the mole that near on her mouth.
4.CLIMAX-When Omar was drunk because of the tuba drinks and get his blade and he was about to kill Fermina.
5.FALLING ACTION-When Alih kill his brother because of Fermina he protected fermina againts the evil plan of his brother and he realize that Omar was too drunk that time. and he choose Fermina over his brother omar.
6.THEME-The theme of this story was the pilipino beliefs,culture,traditions and our bad and good traits as a person.
LITERARY APPROACH:
HISTORICAL APPROACH was used in this story because its happened years ago and the author experience the event of the Filipino-american Friendship day and it was happened long long time ago.
SUMMARY:
The story begins when Alih and his brother Omar was in the parade of Filipino-American Friendship Day and they about to kill people to wash out their shame and to gain respect beacuse their father accused for killing someone but he did'nt and kill their father, untill they became a merchants and work for Lim-ching a chinese merchants and robbed by the man with gun and stole everything they had and Alih saw a girl look alike of Fermina because of the mole near on her mouth.then,when his brother Omar was too much drunk because of the tuba drinks and his about to kill Fermina using blade and alih kill him because he protected Fermina against his brother evil plan and that is the end of the story.
