Characters:
Alih- A brave man.
Omar- Brother of ali
Imam- The village priest
Lucy- Childhood crush of Alih
Fermina- a girl who served drinks.

Setting: A mixture of Malay, Spanish, Chinese, and American, story that happened on the fourth of july.

Plot:
Alih and Omar, plans to redeem themselves in shame by killing someone.

Literary approach:
Historical approach.

Complication:
When they decided to become a merchant/rebels and kills.

Conflict: alih did not want to kill, but both alih and omar wants some redemption and fear of the dishonor upon them.

Rising Action:
He found fermina and he cares for her, because he saw a float and he go near the float and found out that it was really fermina.

Falling Action:
Alih kills his own brother, just to save fermina's life.

Climax:
Omar is so drunk and he is about to kill fermina.
